Let's ignore the biography bit and talk interests:
Jonathan Briggs really does have lots of interests - despite many friends and colleagues thinking he's only interested in mistletoe.
This is because of his mistletoe website www.mistletoe.org.uk, and perhaps his role in Tenbury English Mistletoe Enterprise (www.teme-mistletoe.co.uk) or maybe also because of work in Mistletoe Action Plans (e.g www.lbp.org.uk/03action_pages/ac22_mistletoe.html) or even his involvement in the Tenbury Wells Mistletoe Festival at www.tenbury-mistletoe festival.co.uk.
It could also be because of his articles, papers and consultancy work on mistletoe (www.mistletoes-r-us.co.uk) and maybe arises from his involvement in the National Mistletoe Survey in the 1990s (see mistletoe.org.uk for details of that).
Other interests include general environmental and conservation issues - not unexpected with qualifications in botany and industrial archeaology, coupled with over 20 years working on environmental issues on canals in the UK.
And then there's the media work, the research interests in almost anything etc etc...
But mistletoe is quite a big thing - especially in the winter months.
